Where It Comes From

We don't pick up everything that glints. Most sea glass on a Bali beach isn't ready yet. It's too sharp, too pale, too common. Our team walks the same stretches of shoreline for hours, looking for pieces that have actually finished their journey. The kind of frosting that only happens after years in the surf, not weeks.

It's slow work. There's no shortcut for it.

Made by Hand, Not by Machine

Once a piece earns its place, it goes to our silversmiths. Many of them learned the trade from a parent or grandparent, in the same villages where Bali's silver tradition has lived for generations. Each piece is wrapped, set, or soldered individually. 

That means two necklaces with the same design will never look quite the same. The glass dictates the shape. The smith works around what nature already did.

Why the Ethics Actually Matter

Every piece of sea glass we use started as waste. Glass that was thrown away, lost, or broken, and that the ocean spent years correcting. We're just the last step in that process.

Where we can, we use recycled silver too. And because everything is made in small studios across Bali rather than a factory, your purchase goes directly toward keeping a centuries-old craft, and the people practicing it, in business.
