    Sea glass is frosted-looking glass found on the beach. All of Kamaya sea glass is genuine. Each piece is handpicked off the seaside: unique and can even look raw. We don’t cut, smooth, or change the glass; it is never machine-tumbled.

    Sea glass is frosted-looking glass found on the beach. It comes from broken bits of glass shaped by the ocean. My interpretation of this: broken things can be beautiful too. Bad things happen, sometimes life doesn’t happen according to our plan. We may think that we are broken, wasted, unloved. But we always rise, we survive, we grow. These things make you precious; these things make you, you.

  4. Where does sea glass come from?

    Sea glass comes from broken bits of glass that get thrown into the ocean which then tumbled smooth by the waves and sand over time.

  5. Do you pick your own sea glass?

    Yes, each piece is handpicked from the beaches in Bali. Collecting sea glass is therapeutic, I enjoy walking along the shore collecting the broken bits of glass. After that, I sort, pick the ones that speak to me and design them piece by piece.

  6. What makes sea glass unique and valuable?

    Each sea glass is rare and unique. The journey of turning broken bits of glass to sea glass is a long process and special occurrence. One piece of sea glass can be in the ocean for a few decades before it is perfectly smooth and frosted. Color is also an important factor in determining the value of sea glass. The commonly found colors of sea glass are green, brown, and white; while some of the rare ones are blue, pink, orange and yellow.
